Google Chrome Will End Support For Windows 7 And Windows 8.1 In February 2023

Google has now announced they will end support for the Chrome web browser on Windows versions of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 next year.

According to the established schedule, Chrome 110 will end support for both versions of the operating system. It is scheduled to be introduced on February 7, 2023.

This end of support is in line with Microsoft's schedule to end support for both operating systems in January 2023.

Google says older versions of Chrome can still be used – but no security and feature updates will be offered to users of that version of the operating system.

Even though Windows 7 has been discontinued, it still has high usage figures to this day. The latest version of the operating system offered by Microsoft is Windows 11.
