Medical technology is seen to be advancing every year, but until now, it is seen that one of the aspects of the medical sector that still requires a lot of human expertise is the reading of medical images.
This includes reading images such as X-Ray, CT scan, MRI, ultrasound and so on. Google says that 90 percent of medical data is seen through these medical images, and typically it still requires experts to read them before any diagnosis can be given.
Recently, Google has introduced the Medical Imaging Suite through their Google Cloud offering where Google uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to scan the images and provide a quick and accurate diagnosis.
The Medical Imaging Suite uses an artificial intelligence annotation system developed by NVIDIA and Monai, along with the BigQuery Looker used to search large amounts of medical diagnosis-related data.
The Medical Imaging Suite system is also integrated with the Google Cloud Healthcare programming program and opens job opportunities for many programmers, especially in hospitals that want to implement this new technology.
The use of Google Cloud Medical Imaging Suite's artificial intelligence system is also seen to reduce the burden on various parties from radiologists to doctors who need to read the data. The patients are also seen to be able to get the necessary treatment at a faster rate.
