Two of Google's latest flagship devices, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, were launched last night and were also the first to use Android 13. As the flagship of Google, many would have expected the Pixel to have better specifications than Samsung and Apple's flagship devices, but this was not the case.
Google confirmed the LTPO screen on the Pixel 7 Pro only supports a 10-120Hz refresh rate. On the iPhone 14 Pro and Galaxy S22 Ultra, the LTPO screen works in the 1-120Hz range. Even the Oppo Find X5 Pro launched earlier this year has a screen with the same capabilities.
This isn't the only disappointment about the Pixel 7 as the Tensor G2 chip it uses retains its aging Cortex-X1 and A76 cores. Although the device's specifications are modest compared to competitors, it is still sold at a rather expensive price.
