The Google Pixel Watch was launched a while ago during the Made By Google event. There is nothing more mysterious about this Wear OS 3.5 smartwatch because its design was officially revealed by Google itself during Google I/O. The Pixel Watch comes with a round 1.6″ OLED screen with Gorilla Glass 5 3D.
This has a body as big as 41mm only because no other version is offered like Samsung and Apple do. The watch uses an Exynos 9110 chip that is already four years old but is paired with 2GB of RAM, and a 294 mAh battery that can last up to 24 hours on a single charge.
The round aluminum body also has a rotary knob and another navigation button on the right side. The button configuration is more similar to the Apple Watch than the Galaxy Watch5 which also uses Wear OS. In addition, the Pixel Watch also has a low-powered secondary Cortex M33 processor to save battery consumption during Always on Display mode. Cellular LTE support is also provided using eSIM.
Sensors present are pulse scanner, sleep tracking and even ECG. Various sports activities can be tracked along with the wearer's sleep patterns. The entire body passes waterproof standards up to 5 ATM. There is an integration of the Fitbit system that was bought by Google a few years ago. With this more accurate heart rate and sleep tracking can be achieved according to Googe. Another interesting thing is that the Pixel Watch supports only Android devices.
There are several strap options such as silicone, metal, fabric and leather. There is a groove on the side of the Pixel Watch that is used to insert the watch strap. Like the Apple Watch, this watch strap uses its own technology that does not allow the owner to use a regular watch strap. In the United States, Google Pixel Watch is sold at a price starting at $349.99 (~RM1622) for the WiFi version and $399.99 (~RM1854) for the LTE version in the three main body finishes of Black/Obsidian, Silver/Chalk, and Gold/Hazel.
