Government Gives RM100 Digital Wallet Credit For M40, RM200 For 18-20 Year Old Youth And Students


 In today's Budget 2023 presentation, the government announced initiatives to continue encouraging the use of digital wallets for a cashless lifestyle. This will continue the initiative as before, where credit is offered through digital wallets such as BigPay, GrabPay, ShopeePay and Touch n Go eWallet for spending.



Interestingly, for this year, the credit will be increased to RM200 for youths aged 18 to 20, in addition to university students.


In addition, this year also saw an allocation for those under M40, who will receive a credit of RM100.



More information regarding this credit offering is expected to be announced before it is granted later - which may be implemented around the beginning or middle of 2023.
