Johor Government Moves Towards Independence Through JohorPay – Target 70% of Government Agency Transactions Use JohorPay By 2025

Johor is now seen focusing on the cashless arena through the implementation of the use of JohorPay for payment purposes for a number of state government agency services. It has been introduced since last October 2021, and now has over 150,000 users.

In addition, JohorPay is also used by local authorities in the state of Johor. This includes payment of land tax, price tax, Johor halal certification, and several others.

Speaking of which, JohorPay is expected to be expanded to the business sector, education and also used in private companies.

For now, JohorPay is still adding a number of features and payment support in stages.

Moving forward, the Johor government aims to use JohorPay to receive 70% of payments involving Johor state government agencies by 2025.
