KLIA's New Aerotrain Design Revealed – Will Be Operating 2025

KLIA's Aerotrain train system is already 24 years old. Since these eight flights opened, they have not been changed and due to their relatively old age often face operational disruptions that force passengers to go to the terminal by bus. Today, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) shared the design of the new Aerotrain that will begin operations by 2025.

The train consists of three carriages with the ability to carry up to 270 passengers. When operational later it will be able to carry 5400 passengers every hour. While waiting for the Aerotrain process to be completely replaced, MAHB has already announced that they will increase the number of inter-terminal buses to reduce congestion.
