Hospital Kuala Lumpur is now the first government hospital to offer surgical services using robotic technology.
HKL uses Robotic Surgery Assisted (ROSA) support for knee and hip joint replacement surgery for patients.
For information, surgery using this robot has been implemented since last July 2022, and a total of 21 patients with osteoarthritis problems have gone through this knee and hip joint replacement surgery.
The use of robot technology is said to provide up to 98% accuracy compared to before, of which only around 95% use computer navigation systems.
In addition, the period of time patients can leave the hospital is also shorter than before.
