The Lego Mindstorm set was released in 1998 in collaboration with MIT to encourage the development of robots and coding among children. This set is so popular that there are various competitions held where teams are asked to solve various problems using it. It is powerful enough that it is also used by adults who are also interested in the field of robotics.
But Lego has insisted that the sale of the Lego Mindstorm 51515 Robot Inventor set will be stopped by the end of 2022. The software support is only until 2024. This set has been discontinued in order to focus on the Lego Education and Build & Code sets that are also produced by them.
