The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 30th anniversary edition ThinkPad computer can be pre-ordered in Malaysia now until 30 November 2022 at a starting price of RM13,359. Only 40 units will be offered in Malaysia with the first 20 customers receiving a special edition laptop bag and a ThinkPad X1 mouse worth RM848.
This special edition ThinkPad X1 Carbon comes with a classic red, green and blue logo with the serial number engraved on the body. The rubber nipple for the TrackPoint also comes in red, green and blue color options that can be changed by the user. 14″ WQUXGA LCD screen with touch support or 2.8K OLED. Matched with an Intel Core Gen-12 chip, up to 32GB LPDDR5 memory, up to 4TB SSD PCIe NVMe Gen-4 storage and a 57Wh battery.
The infrared FHD camera comes complete with the ThinkShutter privacy system that physically covers the lens. This year the camera comes with its own NPU to ensure the best video quality can be enjoyed. Can even recognize the face of the owner wearing a face mask. The system will also reduce the screen description when it detects that the user is not in front to save battery.
The audio system supports Dolby Atmos complete with four microphones that listen to sound in 360 degrees. The physical fingerprint scanner is placed on the power button.
