Malaysia's NSSC Is Involved in Maintaining Nuclear Safety at the Qatar 2022 World Cup

Once upon a time our country was proud when Subkhiddin Mohd Salleh became a referee at the 2010 World Cup which took place in South Africa. The country's soccer team has yet to make it to the World Cup but at least the local referees pass international standards. At the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, once again Harimau Malaya did not qualify but Malaysia was involved in ensuring security throughout the Games.

Malaysia is able to work with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) through the Malaysian Nuclear Security Support Center (NSSC) initiative to ensure global nuclear security during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The radiation detection equipment managed by Malaysia under the Loaner Pool will be used during the major event. this world. It can detect the presence of radioactive materials that may be dirty bombs or poisons placed by parties who do not want the games to go smoothly.

Previously, NSSC's radiation detection tool has been used to celebrate National Day, the Southeast Asian Games (SEA), the ASEAN Para Games and the Malaysian Games (SUKMA). The device is usually in a form that is easy to carry in the hand of the officer.
