Minimum Age Limit for Doing TikTok Live Raised From 16 to 18 Years

To ensure the safety of their underage users, TikTok raised the minimum age limit for users who want to do live streaming from 16 to 18 years old with effect from November 23.

This is in line with the company's policy which only allows users aged 16 and over to use the Direct Message feature and only 18 and over can receive virtual gifts and earn through the platform.

Another security measure that will be introduced is that TikTok Live users can prevent viewers under the age of 18 from following their channel. This may be because the discussion topic or content is not suitable for this group.

Finally, the Live feature can now join up to five people simultaneously for users who want to collaborate in a larger group.
