The use of quantum technology is widely used for online computing and encryption purposes which are more difficult for hackers to break. A deeper understanding of quantum technology is key to this technology. This year the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Alain Aspect, John Clauser and Anton Zeilinger for research in quantum physics technology.
In quantum mechanics, two or more particles can exist in the same state even if they are far apart. This is called an entangled quantum state. The three winners of this year's Nobel Prize in Physics performed a variety of important studies that later became the basis for today's users of quantum technology. Anton Zeilinger for example conducted a study in 1997 which later proved the existence of the phenomenon of quantum teleportation.
