NVIDIA today announced the recall of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 12GB graphics card due to the use of a misleading name. Last September, it launched simultaneously with the GeForce RTX 4080 16GB.
In order to avoid the incident of users mistakenly buying a graphics card with a lower memory configuration, NVIDIA took the drastic step of "unlaunching" the RTX 4080 12GB. The launch of the RTX 4080 16GB will however continue on the original date of November 16.
