If you are a photographer or photography hobbyist, you definitely know the Olympus brand. The tech brand has sold their photography sector holdings which is now called OM System, and the company has introduced their first camera.
The camera is called OM System OM-5 and comes with a design that resembles the design of the Olympus OM-D EM-5 III mirrorless camera that was launched a few years ago.
The OM-5 comes with the same 20.1MP M4/3 sensor used on the previous camera, a hybrid autofocus system with 121 focus points and a rear panel that can be repositioned.
The new component introduced on this camera is the TruePic IX image processor which not only promises better image quality, but also new modes such as taking photos in 50MP resolution and Starry Sky mode. The OM-5's autofocus system also allows users to focus on objects at a distance.
This camera is also capable of recording video at 4K30FPS resolution, but at Full HD resolution, it also features a slow-motion recording function of 120FPS. The camera also has no 30-minute recording limit, and you can record as long as the battery lasts and there is room left on the digital storage card.
This OM System OM-5 camera will go on sale in selected markets at a price of $1600 with a 12-45mm f4.0 lens this November.
