Earlier this year, Microsoft introduced the Project Volterra developer kit as a computer developer kit for those who want to develop Windows 11 applications in devices that use ARM processing chips.
Recently, Project Volterra has been rebranded as Windows Dev Kit 2023 and comes with a design that almost resembles an Apple Mac Mini device. In terms of specifications, this computer is powered by Snapdragon 8cx Gen3 and 32GB of memory and 512GB of storage.
In terms of the operating system, Microsoft also confirmed that the Windows Dev Kit 2023 will run the Windows 11 operating system only, and will not come with options for other operating systems.
This computer also comes with a choice of two USB 3.2 Type-C, USB 3.2 Type-A, one miniDisplayPort plug and an RJ-45 plug for wired internet connection. In terms of wireless support, it comes with WiFi6 and Bluetooth 5.1 support.
This developer kit has already gone on sale in eight countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, China, Canada and Australia at a price of $599 and can be purchased by the public.
