Redmagic 7s Pro has been launched in Malaysia today. This device is a gaming device that uses a flat screen with a new generation under-screen camera with its own chip to control the pixels. It comes with a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz display, powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip with up to 18GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
The camera is 64+8+2 Megapixel and 16MP UDC selfie camera. It also has a RAM Boost feature, is powered by an additional Red Core 1 chip, has an ICE 10.0 Multi-dimensional Cooling System with RGB fans, is equipped with touch shoulder buttons, a 5000mAh battery with 65W fast charging. Redmagic 7s Pro also still has a 3.5mm audio jack port.
This device runs the RedMagic OS 5.5 operating system based on Android 12. A representative of Redmagic Malaysia just confirmed to us that this device will only receive software support for two years. But it is not clear whether it is for operating system version or security.
Our review unit after being updated is still using the June 2022 security patch. The selling price in Malaysia is RM3,999 for the 12/256 GB version (Obisidian) and RM4,999 for the 18/512 GB version (Mercury/Supernova).
