Last month, the Redmi A1 was launched as their new entry-level device. This device comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD screen, 1600 x 720 pixels, powered by a MediaTek A22 chip paired with 2GB LPDDR4X RAM memory and 32GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage. Storage can also be expanded with a microSD card up to 512GB.
The device uses an 8MP f/2.0 dual-camera configuration paired with additional auxiliary lens support as well as a 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera. The camera also supports portrait mode, slow motion recording and several others. The battery of the device is 5000mAh with 10W charging. Interestingly, this device still provides a 3.5mm audio jack port to activate the use of FM radio.
The Redmi A1 comes with a flat screen design and a curved back panel and offers a choice of black, liquid green or liquid blue colors. This device is now official in the Malaysian market with a price of RM359. Those looking for a backup device, to give to parents or children this may be a good choice for a budget under RM400.
