The MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip has just been launched with 6nm technology and 200MP camera support. It is also an update from MediaTek for the previous Dimensity 920 chip. The chip will also start debuting in smart devices starting in the fourth quarter of this year.
Speaking further, Xiaomi is rumored to be coming with a device powered by the chip for their Redmi Note series. It is possible that it is used on the Redmi Note 12 series and this information is obtained from Digital Chat Station's latest sharing on Weibo. This also differs from previous speculations that said the device may be powered by a Dimensity 8000 chip.
In a different development, the device is also expected to have an upgraded 50MP primary sensor. But it is still unclear, which model is supplied with the camera configuration because the series is expected to arrive with at least three different models. This includes the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+.
