The Redmi Smart TV X86 has been officially introduced as well as a renewal model for the smart television range from Redmi in China. As the name suggests, it has an 86-inch screen packed in a body made of metal and thin bezels.
The screen has a 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels) which combines several additional features such as MEMC Motion technology, a screen-to-body ratio of 97.3%, color support reaching 1 billion and a viewing angle of 178 degrees. Also included are two 10W speakers that support DTS-HD for a more immersive audio experience, in addition to voice control through the built-in Xiao AI virtual assistant.
Next, a four-core Cortex A5 processing chip is also used with a G52 MC1 (MP2) GPU counterpart, 2GB RAM memory and 16GB internal storage. Not to be outdone, it also packs MIUI software, Bluetooth 5.0 support, two HDMI connections and a USB 3.0 port.
Redmi Smart TV X86 is sold in China at a price of RMB5299 (~RM3,454) for one. Information about its availability for the global market is still unknown so far.
