Robots Now Seen Cooking French Fries In Restaurants – Replacing Humans

Various industries are now looking to reduce operational costs by relying on robots and artificial intelligence.

Most recently, the company Miso Robotics introduced a robot named Flippy 2, which can fry food in fast food restaurants, especially fries.

These robots can operate automatically, and are managed through the use of cameras and artificial intelligence. It speeds up the cooking process and management including in relatively tight spaces. This robot can take frozen fries, and then reheat them, and put them in the serving section.

Robot engineers can also monitor it through a special screen in real time, and control and repair it if there is a problem – remotely.

For now, a number of restaurants in the United States have used this Flippy 2 robot in their restaurants, but have not advertised or talked about it, for fear of the public's perception that robots are taking away human work.
