Samsung launched the Camera Assistant app to give more control when taking pictures. It's another application after they previously launched Expert RAW with more professional manual controls.
Camera Assistant provides features such as Auto HDR which turns off HDR if it is not intended to be used. Meanwhile, the Soften Image feature will soften the image taken if the user is not fond of image quality that looks too sharp.
Even more useful is Faster Shutter which takes up to 7 pictures quickly. Useful for taking pictures of fast-moving subjects. Users can also set how many photos will be taken while using the timer feature. Automatic lens switching can also be turned off with Camera Assistant.
Download the app from the Galaxy Store. After downloading Camera Assistant can be accessed directly through the phone's camera application menu. Currently only Galaxy S22 series devices can download Camera Assistant with support for other series to be provided after the One UI 5 update.
