Samsung today announced they successfully produced a new LPDDR5X memory module with a speed of 8.5 Gbps. This is not the first LPDDR5X memory on the market with the Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition already using it since last September.
But this is the fastest LPDDR5X memory on the market right now because it surpassed the 7.5 Gbps speed that Samsung recorded in the test stage. LPDDR5X memory is not only faster but also reduces power consumption. So far it has passed the standards to be used with Qualcomm's SOC. This somewhat confirms the Galaxy S23 series will use this memory next year.
