Android Seamless Update allows important security patch updates to be installed on the device in the background without the device rebooting. This is a feature that has been launched since 2018 by Google but many manufacturers still do not support it like Samsung.
According to a report by Android Authority, starting with One UI 6 Samsung will finally support Seamless Update. This is most likely because Google has finally mandated Seamless Update support on manufacturers who want to continue using GMS on Android 13. The bad news here is that Android 13-based One UI 5 that Samsung devices are starting to receive now does not support it.
In addition to allowing security updates to be done without being noticed, they can also be provided directly by Google through the Play Store without having to go through the manufacturer. With this the era of security vulnerabilities that take months to patch will end on Android devices in the future.
