Last June, the OSOM OV1 device developed by ex-Essential staff which was supposed to focus on privacy and security was canceled and changed to Solana Saga. Solana Saga is a crypto-focused device.
This device is the result of a collaboration between OSOM and web3 company Solana. Now their website has revealed the full specifications after leaking some details about it a few months ago.
The Solana Saga comes with a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of internal storage that can be expanded with microSD up to 512GB. The device uses a dual-camera configuration of 50MP f/1.8, wide-angle OIS and 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle as well as a 16MP f/2.4 selfie camera.
The device comes with a 4110mAh battery with Qi wireless charging support, supports IP68 protection, comes with a physical fingerprint scanner, supports 5G, Bluetooth 5.2 and supports UWB. The Solana Saga uses a ceramic back panel, iron frame with titanium accents.
Solana Saga runs Android 13 with web3 SMS support (Solana Mobile Stack), NFT collecting ability, Seed Vault (Phantom and Solflare), Saga Pass, dApp Store app store and many more crypto, web3 and NFT focused features.
Solana Saga will be sold at a price of $1000 which is around RM4,737. The device will only be delivered to buyers starting early next year 2023. For those who don't know, Solana is also a type of cryptocurrency that can now be bought and sold through Luno.
