Starbucks Malaysia is now taking a step forward by offering electric vehicle charging stations in selected branches.
For now, for the first phase, a total of 17 branches around the Klang Valley, Penang, Melaka and Johor are available with electric vehicle charging stations. And within the next 3 years, Starbucks aims to have EV charging stations available at all Starbucks chains nationwide.
Starbucks provides two variations of electric vehicle chargers, namely the 50kW direct current charging type for charging in less than an hour. Another option provided is 22kW two-way charging for users who are in a Starbucks branch for a longer period of time.
To use this EV charger, users need to make a reservation through chargeEV. Interestingly, for those using an electric charger, you will also receive a 50% discount on the purchase of the first grande drink starting November 1.
