Suunto 9 Peak Pro has been officially introduced as a renewal for the range of wearable devices from Suunto. Several improvements have been made, these include longer battery life and a new interface that is easier to use.
To be more specific, Suunto 9 Peak Pro features a round watch face with a frame made of Titanium Grade 5/Stainless steel. The screen is 1.2-inches with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels with a matching Sapphire crystal glass layer for additional protection. Also included are several strap options, one of which uses a silicone-based material.
Information about the processing chip has not been disclosed but it is said to be more powerful while also being able to offer better battery life. Through it, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro is advertised as being able to operate up to 21 with frequent use before needing to be recharged. With the included fast charging capabilities, this watch can be charged to 100% in just 1 hour.
Complementing it are a number of built-in health and fitness sensors for blood oxygen monitoring, heart rate, 24/7 activity tracking, sleep patterns and stress status and recovery. Not only that, it also offers up to 97 sports modes to choose from and one of them is a snorkeling mode specifically for diving.
Other specifications include support for beidou, Galileo, Glonass and a GPS satellite system that can connect to 32 satellites simultaneously. Not to be outdone, it is also waterproof up to 100 meters and the selling price starts at 499€ (~RM2,288) depending on the type of model.
