The 10th Generation iPad Has a Relatively Slow USB-C Connection

Finally with the launch of the 10th generation iPad, all iPads have used the USB-C connection with now only the iPhone their device still using the Lightning connection. The use of USB-C is something important, because it makes it easier for users to use one cable for all.

However, this 10th generation iPad is said to only use USB-C 2.0 connection which is very slow for data transfer. It only supports 40Mbps, which is the same as previous Lightning.

Unlike other iPads that use USB-C such as the iPad Air 4 that supports 5Gbps, the iPad Air 5 reaches 10Gbps and the iPad Pro with the M1 chip up to 40Gbps. Somewhat disappointingly, despite already using the USB-C connection, Apple is still using old technology.

Those who give this iPad may not really care, because it's just a basic tablet. The new iPad is powered by the A14 Bionic chip, a new flat design, comes with a Touch ID power button, supports 5G and a Stage Center camera. The selling price for this iPad starts from RM2,099 for the 64GB WiFi version.
