The Google Tensor G2 Chip Actually Uses 5nm Technology

The Made by Google event was already organized last week, where Google launched the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel Watch, showed off the Pixel Tablet and also introduced the new Tensor G2 chip. This new chip is said to be more efficient because it uses a 4nm build compared to the G1 with 5nm.

Unfortunately, a Google representative confirmed to Android Authority that the Google Tensor G2 still uses a 5nm build instead of 4nm. Making this chip change is only on the GPU which switches to ARM Mali G710 MP07 compared to the previous Mali G78 MP20.

The Tensor G2 is equipped with two 2.85GHz Cortex-X1 CPU cores, two 2.35Ghz Cortex-A76 CPU cores and four 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 CPU cores. This is the same core used on the Tensor G1. Google Tensor G2 also has TPU to enable artificial intelligence features to be processed at a faster rate such as Photo Unblur, Cinematic Blur, Super Res Zoom, Magic Eraser or real-time exposure.
