The Intertwine function in Adobe Illustrator allows you to insert sketches without changing the order of the layers

If you are a heavy user of Illustrator, you must have a situation where your sketch has multiple 'Layers' and if you want to insert something, it makes your number of Layers increase.

At this year's Adobe MAX event, the Intertwine Function was introduced to allow you to intertwine objects or sketches, without requiring you to increase the number of Layers as you used to do before.

Taking an example of a rope sketch like the video above, you can see the rope sketch is in the top layer. The Intertwine function allows you to sketch the area where the rope will be behind the selected Layer. You can also use the Alt/Option key (depending on the Mac/Windows system) to make the sketch be in front of/above the Layer with the sketched area.

Therefore, you do not need to create several different layers, to achieve the special effects required. This update is available starting today when you update your Adobe Illustrator application.
