It's not unusual to see a family member, friend or loved one's Facebook account hacked. This hacked account will be used to do things that discredit someone or even to steal personal data.
Meta recently shared a list of over 400 Android and iOS apps that they confirmed stole Facebook account details. These apps all offer a login feature with a Facebook account. It is also difficult to see if this app is trustworthy or not because, Meta claims that the app developers are using fake reviews and ratings on the App Store and Google Play Store.
These apps masquerade as photo editors or that allow users to transform their own images into cartoon characters, VPNs that claim to make Internet connections faster, flashlight apps, firsts with fake high 3D graphics claims, health and lifestyle apps like horoscopes and health tracking , an app to manage ads for unrecognized business accounts and more.
According to Meta, the developers of this application are using malware – where once a user logs in with their Facebook account they will immediately gain access to their username and password. Meta also advises users to make sure the app they download is completely safe and can be used without a Facebook account, read people's opinions and comments including negative ones about the reputation of the app they want to use, and make sure the app offers advertised features before logging in.
Meta also reminds users if their Facebook account has been hacked, immediately change their password and activate two-factor authentication. Then always be alert with notifications and warnings from the Facebook application if the account is accessed by someone else or from an unknown device.
Meta has also notified Google and Apple about all these malicious applications so that user safety is guaranteed. You can list this application through this link .
