Back in college our dream was to have a Wacom monitor because it allowed us to draw directly on the screen using a stylus. In an era without smartphones and tablet computers, Wacom monitors are the best choice of digital artwork producers. This week the Wacom Cintiq Pro 27 monitor was launched with a host of exciting features for artists.
The 27″ Cintiq Pro 27 screen supports 4K 10-bit resolution that supports 98% DCI-P3 colors, 99% Adobe RGB and exceeds Pantone SkinTone standards. The notable difference on this monitor is that all the quick access buttons are placed on the back and not on the side of the screen like previous Wacom monitors. Therefore the physical size of this screen is smaller than the 24″ Wacom Cintiq monitor.
There are I/O, HDMI 2.1, USB-C, USB-A and Display Port. Also present with this monitor is the Pro Pen 3 stylus which can detect 8192 pressure levels. The body of the stylus can also be changed with additional accessories that also change the center of gravity when in use. The three side buttons can also be removed. Like all Wacom styluses, the stylus does not require a battery to operate.
The Wacom Cintiq Po 27 retails for $3,499.95 (~RM 16,243) for the screen only with the Cintiq Pro 27 Stand retailing for $499.95 (~RM2320).
