Wayback Machine Has Stored Over 700 Billion Websites With Storage Reaching 100 PB

The Wayback Machine is a time light machine that allows users to see old or deleted versions of websites. It is a very useful site to see how web design has changed since the early days. The Internet Archive, which manages the Waybank Machine, now says it has stored 737 billion web pages that require nearly 100 Petabytes of storage space.

This is equivalent to the storage of 100,000 smartphones with 1TB of internal storage. Despite the need for large storage, Waybank Machine will continue to save internet history but this effort is becoming increasingly difficult due to various obstacles imposed by site owners. For example, the process of recording changes in the world of the metacity will be more difficult because it is no longer just a two-dimensional website.
