Samsung and Microsoft regularly work together to ensure that their respective devices can be used together for a good user experience despite being in different ecosystems. For example, until today only Samsung devices can use Phone Link to use Android applications on Windows.
Recently, Windows 11 can turn on hotspots on Samsung devices such as iPhones with Macbooks or Pixels with selected Chromebooks. This feature is seen to be tested through Windows 11 25231. So far hotspots on Samsung devices can only be controlled with other Samsung devices such as the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra controlling the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
This feature will make it easier for users if there is no access to WiFi and need temporary data access via smartphone. Currently only Samsung devices running One UI 4.1.1 or above such as Galaxy S22, Galaxy Fold4 can use it. Then Windows devices need WiFi and Bluetooth access and run Windows 11 version 22H2 Build 22621 or above with Phone Link v1.22082.111.0.
