Xiaomi recently launched two new devices, the Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12T Pro. These two devices use more or less the same design, as was done with the Xiaomi 11T series last year. Differentiating these two devices are their internal specifications.
Xiaomi 12T Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, has memory up to 12GB RAM and internal storage up to 256GB. The camera is a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor paired with 8MP and 2MP sensors. The selfie camera is 20MP, the device also has a 5000mAh battery with 120W charging support. The screen is a 6.67-inch CrystalRes AMOLED DotDisplay with 120Hz support and Dolby Vision display.
For the Xiaomi 12T Pro, Xiaomi Malaysia offers a choice of colors; black, silver or blue. The selling price is RM2,699 for 8/256 GB and RM2,999 for 12/256 GB. In conjunction with the launch, Xiaomi will offer free Xiaomi Smart Band 7 Pro worth RM299 and Redmi Buds 3 Pro worth RM239 if purchased at Xiaomi physical stores. Meanwhile, if the buyer buys on Lazada or Shopee, the Mi Watch worth RM469 will be given for free.
For the Xiaomi 12T, the device specifications are more or less the same. The difference is in the camera that uses a 108MP main sensor compared to 200MP and an HDR10+ screen compared to the Pro with Dolby Vision support. The other difference is in the speakers, where the regular model uses the familiar Dolby Atmos system – while the Pro model speakers are tuned by Harmon/Kardon.
In Malaysia, the Xiaomi 12T is offered with a choice of colors; black, silver or blue. As for sales, there is only one variation which is 8/256 GB and is sold at a price of RM1,999. In conjunction with the launch, Xiaomi will offer free Redmi Buds 3 Pro worth RM239 if purchased at any Xiaomi store as well as their official Lazada or Shopee.
The pre-order period for both devices is from October 5 until October 12. Those who buy on this date will also receive an additional one-year warranty and screen protection worth RM499 and RM199.
