Xpeng is not a leading brand in Malaysia but they have quite a large stake in the electric car market in China. Their electric vehicles are sold at more affordable prices than manufacturers from Western countries. Recently Xpeng has successfully performed their first global civil flight test in Dubai.
The XPeng X2 electric flying car is their first flying car developed through their subsidiary AeroHT. The X2 can carry two passengers and it operates in water bang mode all the time. With a single charge it can fly for 25 minutes at a speed of 135 km/h.
Xpeng aims to have this flying car in operation as early as 2024 with a selling price starting at $126,000 (~RM410,000). It will be a stepping stone to the Xpeng car that can move on the road and fly when needed.
