AirDrop is a pretty good file transfer feature for Apple product users. Apple offers three options on AirDrop, namely "Receiving Off", "Contacts Only" and "Everyone" to make it easier for users to choose which one to use.
Now, Apple has limited the AirDrop “Everyone” feature to 10 minutes for users in China via iOS 16.1.1 update. This means, if this feature is turned on the user only has 10 minutes to receive the file from the sender.
According to sources, this feature was introduced to avoid posters opposing the Chinese president - Xi Jinping. This AirDrop feature can only be used on iPhones purchased in China and cannot be used on iPhones in other countries.
However, Bloomberg revealed that Apple may offer this feature to all iPhone users starting next year.
