The Canon EOS R6 II was launched this week as an updated model for the original EOS R6 which was launched in 2020. With the new model the camera now features a 24.2MP CMOS sensor paired with a Digix X image processing chip. The sensor size of the R6 II is actually larger than the R6 equipped 45MP sensor.
A Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system is used with 1053 autofocus points placed on the sensor. The ISO range is between 200 - 102,400. Image stabilization is a 5-axis IBIS system. The camera is capable of shooting up to 40 FPS through the electronic shutter and 12 FPS using the physical shutter. Video recording is up to 6K 59.94p RAW with Canon Log 3 support, and HDR PQ.
There is a 0.5″ EVF with 3.69 billion dots and a 3″ LCD screen on the back that can be repositioned to various angles by the camera user. For media storage, the R6 II supports two UHS-II SD cards. As usual there is bluetooth 5.0 support, Wifi and a jack for a microphone.
The Canon EOS R6 Mark II retails for $2,499 (~RM11,860) for body only or $2799 (~RM13,289) with the RF24-105 F4.0-7.1 IS STM USM lens and $3599 (~RM17,080) with the RF24 lens -105 F4 L IS USM.
