This year has been interesting for MediaTek as their reputation as a cheap, underpowered chip manufacturer has been successfully eradicated with the introduction of the Dimensity 9000 series. These flagship chips easily give competition to chips produced by Apple, Samsung and Qualcomm. Their next flagship chip is the Dimensity 9200 and it will be officially launched on November 8th.
This was confirmed by MediaTek itself via their Weibo page a few hours ago. The Dimensity 9200 will be the chip that replaces the Dimensity 9000. It is believed to be equipped with the same Cortex-X3 core as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 that will also be launched in the middle of this month by Qualcomm. In addition, it is also expected to be equipped with Cortex-A715 cores, Cortex-A510 cores and G-715 MC11 GPU.
