DuckDuckGo Can Now Protect Android Users From Apps That Always Track Their Activities

DuckDuckGo is a web browser application that focuses on user privacy, security and safety. They use their own security system, their own search engine, offer privacy email addresses to hide users' real emails and more.

Recently, they have introduced App Tracking Protection through their web browser application in beta form. It was first introduced about a year ago, only now it can be tested by everyone.

By activating this feature on Android devices, DuckDuckGo will offer protection from trackers used by a number of apps on the device such as monitoring usage patterns and user activity for more specific ad displays. This feature will detect if any application tries to send data to a third party.

According to DuckDuckGo, the average Android user will have 35 apps installed on their device. These applications are said to have 1000-2000 tracking attempts and sent to 70 third party companies for advertising purposes.

Those who are skeptical of the security built into Android devices can try downloading DuckDuckGo 5.143.1 to try this App Tracking Protection feature.
