Garmin also has a line of wearables focused on kids. The latest Garmin Bounce has been announced with built-in LTE AND GPS connectivity, allowing parents and guardians to easily communicate with children.
The process is simple where parents can stay in touch and know the location of the children with the location tracking feature that can be accessed through the Garmin Jr app synced on their smartphone.
Apart from tracking the location, parents and guardians can also communicate via text and voice messages two-way. This includes sending various emojis, whether it sounds or otherwise. Also included is a help feature that allows children to send alerts to their families directly when in danger or distress.
In the meantime, there is also a special school mode that can limit distractions to help children stay focused while in the classroom or class. Some of the other additional features and notifications include LiveTrack, health and fitness activity support, accelerator capabilities and a stopwatch function.
Battery capacity is not specifically stated but is advertised as being able to last up to two days of use on a single charge. All these features are packed into a watch with a square plastic frame and a silicone-type strap. The screen used is a 1.3-inch color LCD with a resolution of 240 X 240 pixels.
This watch is available in a choice of colors such as green, black and purple with a selling price of $150 (~RM681).
