Google Drive Allows You To Set An Expiration Date For A File Or Document Sharing

Previously, you could easily share a file or document from Google Drive - including via email or link. However, it is quite difficult to remove an access after a set period.

Now, that has changed. Google has just announced a new feature, the ability to set a timeout before a file is shared.

With this step, after the set date, the user who received access to the file will no longer be able to view it. This leads to better control over the distribution of a document than before.

This new feature is being rolled out in stages, and is expected to be widely accepted in the next few weeks.
