Google Tensor G3 Is Samsung Exynos 2300 Chip – Will Be Used In Pixel 8

Google seems to still choose Samsung as the manufacturer of their processing chip, Tensor. The latest report from WinFuture reveals that the Tensor G3 will remain manufactured by Samsung. Not only that, it is said to be a new Exynos 2300 chip that Samsung does not use because the Galaxy S23 series will use Snapdragon chips only, no Exynos variant.

The code name for this chip is Zuma, and it is rumored to be a chip with a 3nm build. An improvement over the Tensor G1 and G2 chips which still use a 5nm build, while the competition all now use a 4nm build.

The modem on this chip is also said to remain the same as that used on the Tensor G2 as seen in the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Sources also revealed that Google is developing Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro codenamed Shiba and Husky. Both devices will use 12GB of RAM.

The Shiba (Pixel 8) screen is 2268 x 1080 pixels, while the Husky (Pixel 8 Pro) is 2822 x 1344 pixels. But these are just the early specs found and they may change, as they don't compare to what's on offer on the Pro versions of the Pixel devices already on the market right now.
