The new Honor MagicOS 7 launcher has been officially announced in China. Built on Android 13, the focus this time is on improving the user experience with smarter connectivity and services, alongside smoother performance and upgraded security. The interface also looks simpler with a simple icon appearance.
Animations and font support have also been updated for use across the interface. Then, the folder is also bigger which allows it to be easier to access, in addition to the support of new customizable widgets making it more attractive. Here are the features and functions that Honor is highlighting on this new launcher:
1) MagicRing – It enables system-wide and device-wide service sharing. Unlike manual connection support, this new feature enables the connection of multiple devices with the same account to be connected automatically with low power consumption.
This means, users can use the same keyboard and mouse set for multiple devices to perform various tasks, such as answering calls and notifications other than smartphones. Not only that, the work of transferring various data can also be done quickly through it.
2) Magic Live Engine & Magic Text – Features that allow users to complete daily tasks efficiently. Where, it offers intelligent recommendations for various settings with fast learning skills. Also included is Magic Text with the ability to recognize images accurately and convert them to files. The user just needs to scan the text with the camera and save it as an FDF file in the device.
3) HonorOS Turbo X – HonorOS Turbo X is formed as a result of the combination of various engine systems, this includes HonorOS Turbo X, Honor GPU Turbo X and Honor Link Turbo X. It aims to optimize computer performance for a better user experience. It takes full advantage of AI technology to increase performance speed for a smooth experience. HonorOS Turbo is also said to be able to provide a better gaming experience at high frame rates but is able to reduce power consumption.
4) MagicGuard – Enhanced security features for better protection. It consists of three layers of security in the processor chip, operating system and application. Also included is Dual TEE Security System support developed in collaboration with Qualcomm, where it offers an enhanced privacy and security experience. There is also additional protection that allows users to make personal money transfers of up to 5 million yuan without worry.
