Among the iconic things on the MacBook once upon a time were MagSafe magnetic charging and the illuminated Apple logo. After years of being ditched it's back on the new generation of iPhones and MacBooks and now the lighted logo may be coming back too.
Now according to Patently Apple, Apple may be bringing back the illuminated Apple logo on the MacBook. Through a patent awarded to Apple last May, Electronic Devices With Backlit Partial Mirror Structures which suggests that an Apple device such as a laptop or other device will have a logo on the back panel that has a mirror-like reflection effect.
This logo will also use a semi-transparent material to allow light to pass through. The material on this logo will also have multiple layers of film that can reflect light and will have a liquid gray or golden color.
Apple MacBook Pro M2 16″ and 14″ delayed to March 2023, maybe next year we will see the return of this lighted logo? What do you say, do you miss and want this logo back?
