A Foxconn factory located in Zhengzhou has 200,000 workers affected as Chinese authorities impose movement controls on the city's 10 million residents. The impending labor shortage due to the zero police of Covid-19 in China is expected to reduce the production of iPhones by up to 30% next month.
Foxconn is trying to solve this issue by increasing iPhone production in Shenzhen. The issue of factory closures and movement barriers for quarantine became a major issue last year causing many productions to move factories out of China this year.
