Leica Leitz Phone 2 Announced With 240HZ Screen And 47.2MP 1-Inch Sensor

Leica camera technology has been used in devices manufactured by Huawei, Xiaomi and Sharp. Last year the Leica Leitz Phone device was also launched with Leica lenses. Today the Leica Leitz Phone 2 was announced today with it retaining a 1-inch sensor.

Leica Leitz Phone 2 is also equipped with a 6.6″ WUXGA+ IGZO Pro OLED 240Hz screen, powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, 12GB RAM memory, 512GB storage and a 5000 mAh battery. This is paired with a 47.2MP 1-inch wide-angle lens and a 1.9MP depth sensor. On the front, a 12.6MP camera is used. Despite being a new device, the Leitz Phone 2 still uses Android 12.

Although the device is manufactured by Leica, no Leica branding is used. Instead the Leitz logo is used on the back and also on the lens. Surely some of you have noticed that the specifications of this device are the same as the Sharp Aquos R7 that was launched last May. At this time the Leica Leitz Phone 2 will only be offered in Japan at a price of 225,360 Yen (~RM7231).
