Foldable and rollable screens have been produced on the device to allow for larger screen sizes. Although its use is still low, the existence of this technology allows hybrid devices to exist. The next step in the evolution of screen technology is the stretchable screen which has been shown by LG.
Through this technology developed by LG, the screen can grow from 12″ to 14″ but maintain the pixel density of 100ppi and color support. This makes it the world's first high-resolution stretchable screen.
According to LG, this micro-LED screen technology can be used on clothes, in airplanes, watches, vehicles, gaming and more. This technology is still in the prototype stage with it being developed since 2020.
