This week, Google has already introduced their non-cash payment service, Google Wallet in Malaysia. At the time of introduction, four banks supported it, namely CIMB, Hong Leong Bank, HSBC and Public Bank.
With this announcement, one of the questions regarding it is the same service offering by Maybank.
In response to the question, a representative of Maybank stated that the bank is evaluating the possibility of offering Google Pay services in the future. For now, Maybank customers can use digital payment services through MAE, Apple Pay and even Samsung Pay.
So, for Android device users who use Maybank, you may have to wait a little longer before being able to use this Google Wallet service.
