MediaTek is now taking the 5G experience to another new level with the announcement of the T800 5G modem. It is specifically designed as a fast 5G solution, while also maximizing battery life for a better user experience.
The T800 5G modem is built with 4nm technology and supports both mmWave and Sub 6GHz networks. The download speed is up to 7.9Gbps and the upload speed is up to 4.2Gbps. There is also support for dual 5G SIM (DSDS) which makes it an ideal solution for devices that need to switch between 5G networks, but also depends on the manufacturer's own requirements.
Also included is the latest 5G Ultrasave power efficiency technology to optimize battery life in various conditions with 5G connectivity. This at the same time allows the device to last longer. It also integrates PCIs + USB host interfaces, as well as offering fully integrated 3GPP Release-16 5G cellular modems, FR1 Transceivers, FR2 AIM, GNSS and associated PMICs.
